West Brabant: region full of natural beauty

South of Roosendaal are some beautiful extensive nature reserves. You cycle through the Rucphense Bossen, the Oude Buisse Heide and the Pannenhoef.

Visdonk estate
You will soon cycle into the Rucphense Bossen. You mainly drive here between fragrant pine trees, you also pass grasslands, deciduous trees and over the Rucphense Heide. Further on you come across the seventeenth-century Landgoed Visdonk, where you will find a varied landscape where it is wonderful to cycle. Just across the border you drive through the Belgian village of Essen.

Van Gogh
Back in the Netherlands you cycle through the Oude Buisse Heide and the adjacent Landgoed Wallsteijn with its stately old oak avenues, monumental buildings and hedgerows. Landhuis De Moeren dates from 1818. The accompanying farms are also a feast for the high. Van Gogh painted his first landscapes in the surrounding nature reserve. Finally, the Pannenhoef is on your route, a nature reserve of swamp forests, moist meadows and fields. How beautiful it is to cycle in Brabant!
