Discover Staphorst and the forests

This route takes you through Staphorst and the natural countryside. First you drive through IJhorst. At junction 89, cycle a bit into the Kerkweg, where you will see old farms, a beautiful church and a bell tower. In Staphorst you also seem to cycle back in time: you will see many monumental authentic Staphorst farms with green shutters, blue window frames and a thatched roof. What a beautiful village! The Staphorst forestry is relatively young, it was constructed between 1930 and 1940 as a job creation project. De Vier Bergen is a heathland that gives a good idea of what the environment looked like before the construction of the forest. What a silence you experience here! The route ends at EuroParcs Reestervallei, a cozy and quiet place to stay.
