Discover Staphorst and the forests

This route takes you through Staphorst and the natural countryside. First you cycle through IJhorst. At junction 89, cycle a bit into the Kerkweg, where you will see old farms, a beautiful church and a bell tower. In Staphorst too, you seem to cycle back in time: you will see many monumental authentic Staphorst farms with green shutters, blue window frames and a thatched roof. What a beautiful village! The Staphorst forestry is relatively young, it was built between 1930 and 1940 as a work creation project. De Vier Bergen is a heathland that gives a good impression of what the area looked like before the forest was built. What a silence you will experience here!
