The paradisiacal Gorp en Roovert estate

In the woods of the vast Gorp De Leij Estate you will feel like you are in paradise. What a beautiful nature reserve! Put on your walking shoes and come experience the beauty of nature for yourself.

Rovertse Leij
The route starts at Restaurant De Nieuwe Hoef. Grab a terrace in the woods and then explore the vast estate. You walk between old beeches, oaks and conifers. You have beautiful views of tufts of heather. On the edges of the estate you also walk past fields and grasslands. You also cross the Rovertse Leij, a stream that flows from Belgium towards Tilburg. What a varied landscape!

Paradise Bridge
The further south you walk, the closer you get to the border with Belgium. The forests become denser and quieter. There's a good chance you'll see a deer darting away between the bushes. In the hamlet of Gorp you pass a number of beautiful monumental farms and a nineteenth-century hunting lodge. At junction 92 you cross the Rovertse Leij via the Paradijsbrug. What an idyllic spot!
