Walking along the Zeeuws-Vlaanderen beach

Between Nieuwesluis and Nieuwvliet-Bad you walk through the coastal area of Zeeuws-Vlaanderen. You walk along the beach, behind the dike you walk along an old creek.

Black Pole
You can walk straight onto the beach from the parking lot. Get a breath of fresh air with the sound of the softly rustling or roaring surf. You have a beautiful view of the North Sea here. In good weather it is nice to take a dip. Grab your shoes, before you know it a playful dog will run off with them. From the beach you walk through the Verdronken Zwarte Polder, a nature reserve with dunes and shrubs.

Black Hole Creek
You then walk through the polder to the Zwartgatse Kreek. This inland creek was created after the Black Gat estuary was dammed in 1602. Walking along the banks, you can fully enjoy the silence and the natural beauty. At the end of the creek you walk through the Groedse Duintjes, a young nature reserve with thickets, reeds and pools.
