Walking from Europarcs Resort de Rijp

From Europarcs Resort de Rijp you can take a beautiful walk through the polder and picturesque villages. Put on sturdy shoes for a walk full of views.

The Ripe
At Europarcs Resort de Rijp you can first have a drink and a bite to eat before you set off. You immediately walk into the countryside. Under high Dutch skies you look out over vast grasslands where cows are grazing. Such an endless landscape is ideal for focusing on the rhythm of your steps, so that you can immediately clear your head. In Graft and De Rijp you see beautiful buildings, such as centuries-old wooden houses.

Fort Spijkerboor
Shortly after each other you pass the Galerie & Beeldentuin De Eilandspolder and Beeldentuin't Westeinde. It is quiet to walk along the car-free Westdijk past the trees and the canal. You pass Fort Spijkerboor, the largest fort in the Defence Line of Amsterdam. Walking along the Starnmeerdijk you will see several farmhouses. You will also notice that the water is higher than the meadows. In West-Graftdijk you will also pass the Reformed Church dating from 1651.
