Hoorn and Enkhuizen are two historic towns that you must have seen at least once. They are within cycling distance of each other, ideal to combine with a trip along the Markermeer and through the polders. Enjoy the views while cycling with the wind in your hair. A wonderful way to clear your head! After this you arrive in Hoorn, where you can admire many characteristic buildings. A nice stop is the Museum of the Twentieth Century. Further on you cycle through the nature reserve De Weelen. Here you can see how West Friesland looked before the land reclamation. The last stop is Enkhuizen, where you pass three of the old city gates.
