You can easily spend a whole day by bike around the Vechtplassen. You will find plenty of natural beauty and picturesque places full of Dutch cultural history.
Castle Loenersloot
From the Ouderkerkerplas you will soon enter Ouderkerk aan de Amstel. You will find a beautiful piece of Dutch cultural history here on the water, what a nice village! You drive through the polders on a winding dike. Grassy meadows full of cows, rippling water: you drive here through a real Dutch decor. In Baambrugge and Loenersloot you will see beautiful monumental buildings, you will also pass the thirteenth-century Loenersloot Castle.
Spanderswoud
You drive over the dike through the Loosdrechtse Plassen. Get a breath of fresh air while looking out over the water. Oud-Loosdrecht is the next gem on your route, you will see many ancient farms here. After the expanse around the Vechtplassen you will be presented with the woods of the Spanderswoud: also beautiful! And quiet!
