Description
Cadier en Keer is a beautiful village in the hills just outside Maastricht. Put on sturdy walking shoes and come and experience the charm of the rolling landscape.
Wayside Garden
Soon you will see the monumental Sint Gerlach on your right, a former sanatorium built in marl from 1915. After you have crossed the Rijksweg, you will pass the Kruiswegtuin Cadier en Keer. Here you can see a monumental Lourdes grotto from 1892, fourteen Stations of the Cross and a chapel. You also have a beautiful view over a vineyard and golf course.
Cadier and Times
You walk along the golf course towards Sint Antoniusbank. It is wonderfully quiet here between the rolling fields, orchards and hillside forests. You walk a bit through Cadier en Keer, after which you walk back into the green hills on the footpath. It will not take you any effort to recharge the battery here.
