Walking along the Groot- and Kleinmeer

From the farm terrace and viewing stable Hoeve De Nachtegaal you walk straight into the forests of the Buikheide. You will soon pass the Grootmeer, the first of the two natural fens in this nature reserve. There is a lookout tower that offers you a beautiful panorama. In the forests of Buikheide you mainly walk between the wonderfully fresh-smelling conifers. In some parts the forest has an open character and you see large American oaks and firs. At the edge of the forest you have beautiful views over fields and grasslands. On a quiet road you walk through Kreiel, a hamlet with several beautiful farms. At the Nachtegaal it is time for a cozy terrace!
