This route starts at Stadshotel Doesburg & Restaurant De Kade, along the Veluwezoom National Park, the IJssel valley and the charming Doesburg. You cycle along the IJssel towards Arnhem, with a view of the water and the flowery floodplains. After a short climb you arrive at the famous, 90-metre high Posbank. Take the time to relax while enjoying a magnificent view. At the end of the route you cycle past Biljoen Castle, which is located on the edge of Velp in Gelderland. This castle was built in the 16th century by Karel van Gelre, the Duke of Gelre and Count of Zutphen around 1530. In 1672, King Louis XIV of France temporarily settled in Biljoen Castle. A beautiful garden and park were then created.
