Meandering Linge

Leerdam
The Linge is one of the longest rivers that originates in the Netherlands. The Linge still meanders through the landscape in the old-fashioned way. From the dike you look out over the flowery grasslands and orchards along the river. It is wonderfully peaceful to walk here. In Leerdam you can see some beautiful monumental buildings on the Markt. The Grote Kerk originally dates from the fifteenth century. Stroll through the city to the Hofje van Aerden from 1770, which can be visited as a museum.
