Set off from Krün to Mittenwald along the Buckelwiesen. This popular hike in Alpenwelt Karwendel leads from Krün to the beautiful Maria Rast chapel in the unique Buckelwiesen landscape. In addition, you always enjoy unforgettable views of the steep peaks of the Karwendel Mountains.
Great views
The starting point of this hike is the Hochstraße in Krün. The first destination of the tour is the chapel Maria Rast in the middle of the famous Buckelwiesen landscape. The road is a bit steeper in parts, but the great view more than makes up for that. You continue walking, always against the sun, along the Goas-Alm with fantastic views of the Karwendel, Wetterstein and Zugspitz mountains in the direction of Mittenwald.
On to Mittenwald
A narrow hiking trail leads along the Schmalensee to Alpengasthof Gröblalm. From there it is not far to the historic center of Mittenwald. Secret tip: In Goas-Alm they have homemade goat ice cream and regional goat products. On the Gröblalm you really have to try the home-made cream puffs, also known as"Windbeutel\\\" and the home-made schnapps.
