With this route you will discover typical Brabant cozy villages, but also the vastness of the Kampinse heath. There is even a beautiful castle with accompanying estate on the program!
Nemerlaer Castle
From the starting point you quickly cycle to Nemerlaer Castle, a thirteenth-century castle surrounded by a moat. On the estate you walk through a park-like environment with stately avenues. The straightened Essche Stroom stream cuts through the estate. A little later you drive into Esch with its typical Brabant village atmosphere.
Oisterwijk
Along the edge of Boxtel you cycle to Lennisheuvel, another authentic Brabant village. Via the vast heathland of the Kampina you enter Oisterwijk, which was given city rights in the thirteenth century. The rich history can still be seen in the monumental buildings. Especially at De Lind, the old market with the status of a protected cityscape. In Haaren you will not only see regional farms, but also the Old Tower from 1427 - the accompanying church collapsed in 1780.
