A lovely walk around the village of Boskant, where you will discover several farming hamlets. You will also see many trees - the village has its name for a reason!
Meierij
From the small Boskant you will discover the Meierij near Den Bosch, a beautiful authentic farm landscape. You regularly pass old farms and chapels. In addition to forests, you will also find a mosaic of streams, flowery grasslands, hedgerows and agricultural land. What a nice quiet walk here!
Tree nurseries
Around the village are the hamlets of De Bus, Scheeken Vernhout and De Bunders. Boskant has an appropriate name: you will find several large tree nurseries there, one of which is even one of the largest in Europe. Poplars often grow along the winding roads. These trees were mainly planted in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. The wood from the poplars was sold to the local clog and match factories.
