Aerwinkel Castle
You will immediately discover a beautiful spot nearby: Aerwinkel Castle. Here you will find one of the happiness spots spread throughout the region, namely Happiness Place 5 Roerdalen: The Aerdmannetjes of Aerwinkel Castle. The fairytale garden with its monumental trees seems to be the dream domain for Aerdmanntjes, especially near the bench on the water.
Posterholt
The romantic 19th century castle (built in 1854 by architect Pierre Cuypers) is located in an English landscaped garden. Some beech, oak and maple trees are 150 years old. You continue walking through Posterholt, where you will find the typical friendliness of Central Limburg. You can stroll leisurely through the beautiful Hoofdstraat. You walk close to the German border for a while, meadows, fields and deciduous and coniferous forests stretch around you. What a refreshing peace you will find here!
