On an adventure in Brabant from Roosendaal

There is still so much to discover in our own country. How about a real copy of St. Peter's Basilica? Or cycling through an airport? Add vast forests, a beautiful valley and old villages and you have a very special cycling route!

Basilica Oudenbosch
You cycle along the edge of Oudenbosch, you can possibly drive into the village to the Basilica of Saints Agatha and Barbara from 1880, a modest copy of St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City. Then you drive past vast meadows towards Standdaarbuiten, where you cycle for a while on the dike along the Markvallei. It's so quiet here!

Rucphense Forests
At Bosschenhoofd you cycle close to the take-off and landing ramp of the small Breda International Airport, where you mainly see small planes. See if you can keep up with them! After the pleasant Rucphen you drive straight through the extensive Rucphen Forests, which were created when the original cover sand ridge was planted with conifers at the beginning of the 20th century. The entire forest area covers 1200 hectares. You cycle back to your starting point through the center of Roosendaal.
