Loosdrechtse Plassen
The route starts in the lovely Loenen aan de Vecht. This town enjoys a protected village view because of the well-preserved old village center. From here you cycle to the Loosdrechtse Plassen, a picturesque landscape where different bodies of water are separated from each other by dikes and islands. In Oud-Loosdrecht you will see monumental farms from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries on the dike. From the Horndijk you look out over the Vuntus, one of the lakes of the Loosdrechtse Plassen.
\\\'s Gravenland estates
You will soon cycle past the stately Gravenland country estates. You cycle straight across estates such as Boekesteyn. The plots for these country estates were divided as early as 1634 - by drawing lots! The unique star shape of the Naarden fortress is one of the best preserved in Europe.
