Description
In the IJssel valley you can fully enjoy the peace and varied nature. You first drive through the old farmland of the Wilpse Klei. A beautiful floodplain landscape where old farms are located on mounds. You soon pass Kasteel Nijenbeek. This intact ruin is a rarity in the Netherlands. Hanseatic city Zutphen still has one of the best preserved old city centers in the Netherlands! In the outskirts of Gorssel you drive on car-free roads through a mosaic of forests and farmlands. Further on you will find Deventer, the second historic Hanseatic city on this route. Get off at junction 61 on the banks of the IJssel. You have a magnificent view here. The route ends with a terrace at De Kribbe Horeca, Taartenbakkerij & Museum.
