In the IJsselvallei you can fully enjoy the peace and the varied nature. You first drive through the old farmland of the Wilpse Klei. A beautiful floodplain landscape with old farms on mounds. You will soon pass Nijenbeek Castle. This intact ruin is a rarity in the Netherlands. The Hanseatic city of Zutphen has one of the best preserved old city centers in the Netherlands! In the rural area of Gorssel you drive on car-free roads through a mosaic of forests and farmlands. Further on, Deventer awaits you, the second historic Hanseatic city on this route. Get off at junction 61 on the banks of the IJssel. You have a magnificent view here. The route ends with a terrace at De Kribbe Horeca, Cake Bakery & Museum.
