The Gulp valley from Noorbeek

How beautiful South Limburg is. With this route you will discover two gems while walking: the nice old Noorbeek and the Gulp valley. Numerous orchards line your path.

High Cruts
The route starts at Hoeve de Witte Olifant Noorbeek in the picturesque village of Noorbeek, near the Belgian border. From here you set off, along the orchards and tranquil old villages of South Limburg. You can walk through the rolling countryside of Limburg to the hamlet of Hoogcruts, where there are a few beautiful monumental farms. You have beautiful views of the area. 

Gulpdal
A little later you walk through the Branderbos. You pass a nineteenth-century Maria chapel and farm, then you walk into the beautiful Gulpdal. The higher you go, the more beautiful the view becomes. Via Terlinden, where there are some beautiful nineteenth-century half-timbered farmhouses, you return to beautiful Noorbeek, an old town with a protected village view. Stay at Hoeve de Witte Olifant for a night in the monumental seventeenth-century farmhouse, or opt for the detached half-timbered cottage!
