Discover the historic buildings in and around'The Glass City\\\'. De Lier - and Westland as a whole - is more than just greenhouse horticulture!
Lierse Dom
Then you walk to De Kromme Zweth, with the unique nature reserve De Zeven Gaten on the other side of the water. This land located outside the dike has hardly changed since 1712.
Old Liermolen
The old agricultural landscape consists of seven wide ditches (popularly called holes) and strips of land that were used as timber fields. Many willows and alders still grow there. Via Lierhand you arrive at the Zijde water, which leads you to the hamlet of Oostbuurt. Just before De Lier you take a trip to the Oude Liermolen, a ground sailor from 1717. During heavy rainfall, the engine with auger still makes a contribution.
