Kempen-Hageland route
From your starting point you will soon drive along the route of railway line 29. This used to run from Aarschot all the way to Tilburg, but the two ends have been converted into a cycle path. Here you drive on the Kempen-Hageland route, a popular connecting route between these two regions. Remarkably, many animal species also use the cycle path as a connecting road: via the roadside! Via Booischot you drive to the nice town of Heist-op-den-Berg.

If you are cycling here on a Sunday, you should definitely schedule some time to walk along the market stalls! You cycle through the beautiful valley of the Grote Nete to't Schipke aan de Nete.
