In the IJssel valley it is wonderful to cycle along the floodplains and grasslands. You will also pass through the Appense Bos. In Klarenbeek you will cycle past De Hoop, a corn mill from 1905. Further on you will pass through the Bussloo recreation area that was created as a sand quarry during the construction of the A1. In Posterenk you will see the Wilpermolen from 1736. Just past Twello you will pass Huize Hunderen, a monumental country house that originally dates from the seventeenth century. Get off at junction 61 on the banks of the IJssel. Here you have a magnificent view over the river and the center of Deventer. Further on is the Bolwerksmolen, a sawmill from 1863. At Koffie & Theehuis't Momentje it is time for a break, after which you cycle back to Gietelo via Voorst.
