Roggelse Brook
This walking route quickly leads you along the eastern edge of the Central Limburg village of Roggel towards the Leudal nature reserve. You will find an alternation of wet and dry forests. The Roggelse Beek meanders here that it is a delight, beautiful to see! You walk further along the edge of the village, with wide views over the farmlands and the distant edge of the forest. Country roads lead you to Heythuysen, a nice village with various shops and terraces.
Ashbroekerheide
You walk back to Roggel via the Asbroekerheide. The former heathland is planted with coniferous forest, but here and there you can still see living drifting sand. At the highest point (the Kirkelsberg) the shifting sand here is almost 40 meters high!
