Fen cycle tour Oisterwijk

This nature-rich route leads you through some of the most beautiful nature reserves of the Het Groene Woud National Landscape, as the area between Tilburg, Eindhoven and Den Bosch is called. Between the trees you can see the fens where this nature reserve - the Oisterwijk forests and fens - are named. You drive across the vast heathland of the Kampina. Just after you cross the Essche Stroom, you pass the fourteenth-century Nemerlaer Castle. A little later you enter Oisterwijk, which was given city rights in the thirteenth century. The rich history can still be seen in the monumental buildings. Especially at De Lind, the old market with the status of a protected cityscape. Back at your starting point, you can wander through the visitor center, in the same building!
