Description

You will discover special places along the northern edge of the green and rolling Veluwe: from a hiding place to an artists' village and from a farm museum to a tea garden with very special types of tea.

Artists' village of Nunspeet
The landscape here offers you a picturesque mix of meadows, hedgerows and old farms. It is not for nothing that various painters around Nunspeet captured farm life at the end of the nineteenth century.

Hidden Village
Just above Vierhouten you can turn right at junction 18 to take a look at the Hidden Village: a secret hiding village that was founded in the spring of 1943 in the woods. About eighty refugees were hidden in this village for more than a year. In the end it went wrong... Three huts have been rebuilt, some remains of the original huts can still be found. Via Farm Museum De Bovenstreek you cycle back to Nunspeet.
