On the pedals through the polder

Your route starts at Camping Ons Wijland. In Leiden you can enjoy beautiful historic buildings and Warmond also exudes the atmosphere of a bygone era. You will also cycle past the Adermolen, a polder mill from 1941. You will make a large circuit around the Kagerplassen. Corpse mill No. 1 is a special mill: together with the Lijkermolen No. 2, these are the only twelve-sided stone mills in the country. You see an abundance of polder mills here, they are indispensable. The municipality of Kaag en Braassem even has the most windmills in the whole of the Netherlands: no fewer than 20! You cycle further to Vrouw Venne, a seventeenth-century polder mill. You will also pass through Rijpwetering and Oude Ade, two picturesque villages.
