Description
Landgoed De Utrecht is located in the Brabant border region. A unique nature reserve that can be easily discovered with a walk. Put on your walking shoes and come and enjoy.
Low Mierde
The route first takes you through the village of Lage Mierde. Here you see some Kempen long-gable farms. You will also pass the Saint Stephen's Church, which originally dates from the fifteenth century. Mostly pine trees grow on Landgoed De Utrecht, but you also see plots with foliage. How wonderfully green and quiet it is here!
The Utrecht
The De Utrecht estate was developed in 1898 as a financial investment by the life insurance company De Utrecht. You can walk for miles through the woods here. Every now and then you have beautiful views over flower-rich grasslands. With a bit of luck you will see a fox or deer walking here. It is so quiet here that civilization seems miles away. You walk back to your starting point along a car-free, tree-lined road.
