The vast IJssel valley and beautiful Apeldoorn

This route takes you through the IJssel valley and through the beautiful Apeldoorn. The Wenumse Molen is the first sight. This beautiful fourteenth-century water mill is located on the Wenumse Beek. On the cycle path along the Apeldoorns Kanaal you can enjoy the rural surroundings in peace. The kilometres seem to pass by by themselves here. In the IJssel valley you will pass through a few old villages, such as Teuge. Here and there you will see characteristic hall house farms for this region. You will also pass through Apeldoorn. On the eastern edge lies the Apeldoornsche Bosch, a former Jewish psychiatric institution. Further on you will see the many stately Art Nouveau houses for which Apeldoorn is known. You will also pass the Grote Kerk from 1892.
