Enjoy cycling through the vast forests of the Veluwe and the wide landscape of the IJssel valley, wonderful! The route also leads you past a beautiful castle.

The route starts in the middle of the IJssel valley. Via the Kievitsveld recreation area you drive to Emst. Further on you will pass Family Park't Smallert, where there is plenty to do for young and old. In Vaassen you can make a refreshing pit stop at IJssalon Rozeboom. You will also pass the sixteenth-century Kasteel de Cannenburgh. In 1543, the former ruin came into the hands of the famous warlord Maarten van Rossum.

You drive through the hamlet of Niersen into the woods of the Veluwe. You cycle through the Elspeterbos, almost to Elspeet. Then you turn to the Koninklijke Houtvesterij Het Loo, the largest contiguous forest area in the Netherlands. It consists mainly of deciduous trees. How wonderfully quiet it is here! You drive back into the IJssel valley. On rural roads it is wonderful to cycle along fields and meadows.
