This route takes you along the Brabantse Wal and a (wooded) part of the De Zoom - Kalmthoutse Heide border park.
Brabantse Wal
At Ossendrecht you can clearly see that you are cycling down a steep edge: the Brabantse Wal. In Rilland you will pass the Witte Molen, a polder mill from 1851.
Stubble Mountains
Along the Scheldt you experience a completely different landscape. Then you cycle into the Moretusbos, a beautiful park forest that is part of the De Zoom - Kalmthoutse Heide border park. You pass the Stoppelbergen, a mixed forest that slopes because it is located on the Brabantse Wal. There are many maritime pines in the area. They can be recognized by their very long needles and very large pine cones. The trees are always crooked and the bark has a very coarse structure.
