Twickel
After a cup of coffee at Koffie en Theeschenkerij Hof't Sprakel you set course north, towards Hengelo. You cycle through the cozy streets of the old fortified town of Delden. Around the Oude Blasius you can see a first and a second defense ring from the street pattern and the old buildings. Delden is located just next to the Twickel Estate, a beautiful area that you can also cycle through. What wealth here in Twente!
Garden village
The Twickel Estate is known for its farms with typical black and white shutters, beautiful old oak forests and of course Twickel Castle with the associated castle gardens and estate shop. Further on you will discover the monumental Tuindorp't Lansink in Hengelo. Here you can enjoy a terrace with a view of the Tuindorp at the former coffee house of the Stork company from 1916, Tuindorphotel't Lansink. You will find many nature reserves around Beckum - the Bentelerheide is also owned by the Twickel Foundation!
