Description
You can enjoy a lovely walk along the Veerse Meer, while enjoying the view of the rippling water. You will find a refreshing tranquility in the polder behind the dike.
Veerse Gatdam
You walk along the banks of the Veerse Meer. This artificial brackish water lake was created in 1961 by damming the Veerse Gat, an estuary. You can have a picnic on the grass or enjoy the view. You pass the small marina of Kamperland where you can see beautiful boats bobbing on the water.
Zeeland silence
Further on you walk on the car-free Spuidijk, a beautiful path that is surrounded by trees and shrubs. In the polder you experience that characteristic Zeeland vastness. And silence! What a nice quiet walk here. The route starts at Zorgboerderij/Boerderijcamping Catharina Maria Hof. Visit the farm shop to stock up on something tasty, you will find plenty of fresh and sustainable products here.
