Looking for peace and quiet from Middelburg

It is wonderful to travel for miles in the Zeeland polder. You will find plenty of peace and natural beauty here. You will also pass through some characteristic villages.

Vrouwenpolder
From the old and cozy Middelburg you can easily drive into the countryside. Here you will find the typical Zeeland landscape of vast agricultural fields and rows of trees that seem to touch the drifting clouds on the horizon. The fifteenth-century Mariakerk is located in Gapinge. A little later you will pass the Graanhalm, a flour mill from 1864. You can also take the camera out of the bag in Vrouwenpolder. Here you will see old farms and the Pilgrim Church from 1622.

Veerse Gatdam
You drive across the Veerse Gatdam (the third structure of the Delta Works) to Noord-Beveland. You can get off at Care Farm/Farm Camping Catharina Maria Hof and visit the farm shop, among other things. You drive back to Walcheren through Kamperland and the beautiful surroundings. You will pass through the picturesque Serooskerke. Here you will see the beautiful village church that originally dates from the fifteenth century. In Sint Laurens you pass the monumental hull of De Hoop, a former flour mill from 1721.
