Today you explore the rural area above the Veluwe. Along the way you will pass Farm Museum De Bovenstreek in Oldebroek. Here you get a good picture of farm life as it used to be lived in this region. The museum is located in a historic farmhouse that was inhabited until 1753.
Castle Zwaluwenburg
Open landscapes, cultivated land and monumental estates alternate in this area. The A. Vogel gardens are hidden in the woods of the Zwaluwenburg estate and castle, which you can visit for free. This is where the medicinal products of Dr. Alfred Vogel originate. The estate itself dates from the fourteenth century, the current moated castle was built in 1728 on the foundations of its predecessor. The estate is a beautiful spot, a real discovery!
