Wijffelter pants
You start here in the middle of nature, so it is immediately wonderfully green and quiet around you. You drive here through the Grenspark Kempen-Broek. In this area you cross the border between Belgium and the Netherlands almost unnoticed. First you cycle through the Dutch Wijffelterbroek, which was once part of a large border swamp. This was a perfect area for smugglers!

Beautiful fens with a picnic bench, such as the one in the corner of the Pruiskesweg, invite you to take a break. Then you ride on a beautiful free-lying cycle path along the humid farmland. After a terrace at Nieuw-Vosseven, in the middle of the forest, you drive past the Broekmolen: a beautiful undershot water mill from 1738 on the Abeek. Via a large green loop through Belgium you drive back to your starting point along the green banks of the Zuid-Willemsvaart, a canal from 1826.

The Broekmolen is located along the Aa-beek on the Dutch-Belgian border in Stramproy. The only water mill on the territory of the municipality of Weert. The mill dates in its current form from 1738, making it the oldest authentic mill in Weert.
