Description
Do you like a drink and a drink from time to time? This walking route takes you past three nice catering establishments in the green surroundings of Weert. When the weather is nice you can sit here on the terrace, if the weather is bad you can curl up by the fireplace.
pie of Limburg
Start the walk with a large piece of Limburg pie, then you can enjoy it! A beautiful walk along the sand drifts and forests of the Altweerterheide will take you to Domein Laurabos BV, a golf course with a beautiful terrace in the middle of nature. Non-golfers are also very welcome here!
Beer café
Then you walk further to the forest around the Iron Man lake. This is the gateway to the cross-border Kempen-Broek nature reserve with an enormous variety of landscapes, flora and fauna. You will learn all about it in the Environmental Education Center. Then you can enjoy a nice terrace at Dennenoord, on the other side of the lake. When the weather is less nice, it is also cozy inside this beer café.
