Description
Dream tour around the Brünnstein with possibility to go to the top. From the Waldparkplatz Tatzelwurm, first follow the forest paths to the Baumoos Alm (AV roads 657 and 655). From there you take the climb in the direction of the Seeon Alm (AV roads 651 and 655). Through a beautiful mountain landscape with fascinating views and small details along the route you continue to the Himmelmoos Alm. From this meadow environment with wonderful views to the Central Alps, it is not far to the Brünnsteinhaus.
From the Brünnsteinhaus you descend on the AV-weg 657 to the Waldparkplatz Tatzelwurm (sturdy walking shoes are necessary here). On this road you will find some parts secured with steel wire (less suitable for people with a fear of heights), which are reasonably easy to do.
And if you want to go all the way to the top of the Brünnstein, you should at least have a sure footing and not be afraid of heights. Through Dr. Julius Mayr Steig (a slight climb) can be reached in about 45 minutes from the Brünnsteinhaus. Alternatively, you can also continue over the Himmelmoos Almen via a climb partially secured with steel wire.
