Description
Hiking on the Schloßberg
The starting point of this route is at the Tourist-Information Oberaudorf in the middle of the town. From here you walk in the direction of the castle tower. You can visit the Museum im Burgtor, which is located in this tower, to learn more about the history of Oberaudorf. Then you continue walking over the Schloßberg. Make a small detour if you want to take a look at the Auerburg ruins. There was already a castle on this spot in the 12th century, but that building was lost in the 16th century. You continue along the Florianiberg to the Inn. At the Inn you walk north to the mouth of the Auerbach.
Back to Oberaudorf
The road continues along the Auerbach for about 1.8 kilometers under a viaduct. At the Klinib Bad Trißl you leave the Auerbachweg and continue on a beautiful forest path. You then walk through quiet streets to the valley station of Bergbahn Hocheck and back to the starting point in Oberaudorf.
