Description
Around Rotterdam you will find many large and small rivers and lakes with beautiful cycle paths leading along them. This way you can cycle in and out of the city centre almost unnoticed, an experience! First you cycle a long way along the Rotte, the peat river that Rotterdam owes its name to. It is wonderfully quiet cycling along this meandering river. Before you know it you are in the middle of the city centre! From a distance you can already see the Euromast: with its 185-metre high top this is the highest lookout tower in the Netherlands. You cycle right past Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, nice to get off for a while. The further you cycle to the east, the more rural Rotterdam becomes.
