Tour of Waalwijk and Loonse & Drunense Dunes

This route through and around Waalwijk allows you to experience a wealth of culture and natural beauty, including the Loonse en Drunense Dunes National Park. Between junctions 44 and 14, you'll cycle along the route of the Halve Zolenlijn (Half Zolen Line), the former railway line for the Brabant leather industry between Lage Zwaluwe and 's-Hertogenbosch . The leafy path along the Drongelens Canal will take you to Cromvoirt. The south side of the Loonse en Drunense Dunes is a wonderful place to cycle. On the right lie the forests, while on the left you look out over meadows that, after junction 35, give way to the centuries-old deciduous forests of De Brand. Further on, you'll cut through the nature reserve, where you can stop for a short walk on the drifting sands. The route concludes with a delicious meal at De Galgenwiel restaurant.
