The current villa dates from 1726, although the history of this country estate dates back to the fourteenth century. After cycling through picturesque Vorden, you'll pass Vorden Castle, built in 1610. What a picture! In the countryside, you'll regularly pass characteristic Saxon farmhouses. The Ons Belang windmill is a corn mill dating from 1890. Further on, you'll cycle through the beautiful village of Ruurlo. Here you'll see, among other things, the village church dating from 1350. In the woods of the Het Grote Veld nature reserve, the kilometers seem to pass by naturally as you cycle between the fragrant conifers. In Almen, you can visit the recently opened Staal Museum, dedicated to the Achterhoek region and the poet Staring.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
