Description
The Brabant town of Volkel is easy to explore on foot. In the countryside you can walk through the quiet farmlands.
South Park
Soon you pass the Antonius Abtkerk, a beautiful national monument from 1938. It stands on the site where chapels and churches have stood since 1455. You walk to the Zuiderpark, a beautiful nature reserve on the edge of Uden. In the countryside you walk on car-free roads along fields and grasslands. Every now and then you pass a characteristic old farm.
New Kreiter
The Neije Kreiter is a corn mill from 1988. Its predecessor survived a fire in 1935, but was destroyed by flames in 1983. It is pleasantly quiet in the fields. Ideal to walk away from your daily routine for a while. And to chat with your fellow walker(s).
