Description
The Brabant town of Volkel is easy to explore on foot. In the countryside you can walk through the quiet countryside.
South Park
You will soon pass the Antonius Abtkerk, a beautiful national monument from 1938. It stands on the spot where chapels and churches have stood since 1455. You walk to the Zuiderpark, a beautiful nature reserve on the edge of Uden. In the countryside you walk on car-free roads along fields and grasslands. Every now and then you pass a characteristic old farm.
Neije Kreiter
The Neije Kreiter is a flour mill from 1988. Its predecessor survived a fire in 1935, but was destroyed by flames in 1983. It is nice and quiet in the countryside. Ideal for taking a break from the daily routine. And catch up with your fellow hiker(s).
