Description
Roerdalen is a beautiful region in Central Limburg, just below Roermond. Here you make a nice long trip along the many places that make the local inhabitants happy. Such as the Roer valley and the Meinweg National Park.
Roer valley
The route starts in Sint-Odilienberg. In this beautiful village you will pass the twelfth-century basilica, Geluksplek 9. Here you can enjoy the beautiful view over the tranquil Roer valley. In Melick you will pass by Geluksplek 10, a place of rest, reflection and memory on the Kerkberg. Further on you cross the Roer via a beautiful bicycle bridge.
Meinweg
A little further on is Geluksplek 13: a watchtower. After a tour through the woods near Montfort you will return to the starting point.
