On the road in the Belgian & Brabant Kempen

From Bergeijk you set course for Belgium. Cycling through the wooded cultural landscape will immediately put you in the right mood. Just before Lommel you pick up the Bocholt-Herentals canal. At junction 228 you pass Joe\\\'s Bridge. The bridge served as a springboard for the ground offensive of Operation Market Garden in 1944. After a few kilometers you turn off at Neerpelt and drive through the forests west of Achel. Just before cycling junction 217 you can admire the buildings of St. Benedict's Abbey - De Achelse Kluis. In the Netherlands you will discover one of the most beautiful parts of the route: the cycle path through the Malpie nature reserve. Here you drive through a mix of fens, forest and drifting dunes.
