On the road in the Belgian & Brabant Kempen

From Bergeijk you head towards Belgium. Cycling through the wooded cultural landscape you will immediately get in the right mood. Just before Lommel you pick up the Bocholt-Herentals canal. At junction 228 you will pass Joe\\\'s Bridge. The bridge served as a springboard for the ground offensive of Operation Market Garden in 1944. After a few kilometres you turn off at Neerpelt and cycle through the forests west of Achel. Just before cycle junction 217 you can admire the buildings of St.-Benedictusabdij - De Achelse Kluis. In the Netherlands you will discover one of the most beautiful parts of the route: the cycle path through the Malpie nature reserve. Here you cycle through a mix of fens, forest and drifting dunes.
