Veluwezoom tour from Apeldoorn

After a cup of coffee at Restaurant Malkenschoten you get on your bike. You will soon cycle through Lieren, where Beekbergen station is located. You might see the historic steam train that commutes between Apeldoorn and Dieren. You drive along the Apeldoorns Canal to the Middelste Molen: a water mill from 1887. The Veluwezoom National Park is a hilly area with an unprecedented diversity of coniferous and deciduous trees and heath species. This is the habitat of red deer, wild boar, badgers, kingfishers and nightjars. On the way back you will pass through beautiful old Beekbergen, where you will see the village church.
