To the Sallandse Heuvelrug from Twente

Your route starts at Esch Camping Kaampert. You'll first pass Vreest Niet, a grain mill dating from 1842. Soon you'll cycle past Rijssen. The Rijssen-Holten region is a tri-point: this is where Salland, Twente, and the Achterhoek converge, each one a beautiful, authentic area. Experience a wonderful tranquility here while enjoying the rural vistas. The Sallandse Heuvelrug is a bit of a climb now and then, but the views are a wonderful reward for your effort. The ancient juniper bushes are particularly picturesque. You'll descend briefly to Eetcafe De Droadnagel in Haarle. Enjoy a refreshing drink on a terrace before heading back into the Sallandse Heuvelrug forests. The last few kilometers take you through idyllic bocage landscapes. It's pure bliss!
