Hiking at Bergen aan Zee

Bergen aan Zee is the ideal environment for an invigorating walk. You walk along the sea and through the dunes. And of course you can enjoy a cozy terrace. The route starts in the Schoorlse Duinen. Walking along the Verspyckweg you will pass a number of monumental buildings. Such as the Zeehuis, a former rehabilitation home for children that originally dates from 1908. In Bergen aan Zee you cross the dunes to the beach. Get a breath of fresh air in the fresh sea air, while walking along the surf. When the weather is nice, you can take off your shoes to bathe. A slightly sloping dune landscape awaits you in the Noordhollandsch Duinreservaat. Further on you can settle down on the cozy terrace of De Duinerij, before walking back to the parking lot through the forests of the Schoorlse Duinen.
