Oosterhout in North Brabant has a surprisingly beautiful old city center. In the countryside you can walk through the Holy Triangle, among other things.
Hill
Thanks to the beautiful historic buildings, this square enjoys a protected cityscape. Here you will see, among other things, the Freedom House from 1610. It is a nice and pleasant walk through the old heart of Oosterhout. Look around from Torenstraat for a nice view of the short, stubby tower of St. John's Basilica.
Sacred Triangle
At junction 70 you pass through the Holy Triangle. There are three abbeys in this protected villagescape: the Abbey of Our Lady, the Saint Paul's Abbey and the Catherine Valley, which is located in the centuries-old small castle De Blauwe Camer. What a special place! You walk through the rural area and the leafy banks of the Wilhelmina Canal to Slotje Limburg, one of the seven castles built in Oosterhout in the fifteenth century.
