Park Lingezegen is a new large landscape park between Arnhem and Nijmegen. This route takes you through two sub-areas for a wonderfully quiet and varied walk.
The Park
You start the route in De Park, the sub-area named after the former castle De Parck. The Notenlaan once formed the driveway of this castle. This sub-area looks very much like a city park. You walk through a mosaic of avenues, forest areas and open areas. This landscape is intersected by the striking Roman ribbon, a wide zone laid out with a waterway and chestnut trees.
The Water Kingdom
You walk the second part of the route through sub-area Het Waterrijk. As the name suggests, the water is central here. You walk along the Rijkerswoerdse Plassen, which were created by sand extraction in the late 1970s. It is wonderfully quiet to walk here. Ideal for clearing your head and charging the battery. Via the De Park sub-area you will return to the starting point in Park Lingezegen. Time for a coffee with something delicious!
